BOOK CLUB

I like to read but when I sit in front of a computer for a chunk of my day ‘reading’ a book isn’t usually in my vision ability. Instead, I ‘listen’ aka: Audible. Which on my commute back and forth to work ‘works’ out for me. I hope you don’t mind but I will share with you some of the books I’ve enjoyed and some I have not here and, in a video, once a month on a Sunday afternoon.

The Trail to Buddha’s Mirror by Don Winslow

Hosting online book club July 14th 6:30pm Eastern.

Journey into a seedy world created by Don Winslow! Drugs, violence and mayhem ensue. (youtube.com)

I was introduced to Don Winslow randomly looking for a book for the book club and was not disappointed. The first book I listened to was A Long Walk up the Water Slide, which was funny, amusing, emotional and other words that won’t do it justice.

The next one I listened to was A Cool Breeze on the Underground. A little more dramatic, painful, but deep and emotional. Now I’ve landed on The Trail to Buddha’s Mirror and honestly know if nothing else I’m in for a ride when it comes to Don Wilson’s writings.

Strap in and join me on the adventure!
